--------------------------

"The Fabric of Colour" series aims at giving a new life to discarded fabrics. The fabrics used come from my own sampler pile of linen, but also were found from different recycling channels. Minimising waste and at the same time creating with a medium (the fabrics) that already exists. As an illustrator, I have always a little issue with printed illustrations because they lack a certain handmade feeling (though I do my best to print locally on great paper stock).

I want to look closer at the fabric that once made up our clothes, bedding, curtains, bags etc etc and give a space to appreciate their textures, irregularities, colours and patterns, their state of use. While creating interesting visual compositions that bring them close to one another.
